Disqualified driver arrested on drug charges and hit-and-run collision in Tring

A man in possession of class A drugs was arrested after crashing into another car and fleeing on foot in Tring.

Police were called at 12.35pm on Sunday (January 6) to a collision involving a blue Volkswagen Golf and a grey Audi Q5 in Bulbourne Road.

It was reported that the male driver of the Golf had made off on foot leaving the vehicle behind.

Officers carried out a search of the local area and a man was subsequently arrested and charged.

Aaron Pullen, aged 26, of no fixed address, has been charged with:

- Failing to stop at an accident

- Criminal damage (this relates to the suspect reportedly damaging a fence as he allegedly made off from the collision)

- Possession of Class A drugs

- Failing to provide a specimen

- Driving otherwise in accordance with a licence

- Driving while disqualified

- Driving without insurance

He is due to appear at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on February 12.
