FOOD donations are needed to replenish supplies that are dished out to struggling families.

Dacorum Foodbank has helped 691 people by providing them with hampers of emergency food since being launched in September last year.

And the good cause has appointed Sharon Boyalland as its manager to oversee the good work.

The charity needs donations of items to complete boxes of hampers, which contain three days worth of food worth around £28, and are given to people facing tough times.

The following goods are required, tinned tomatoes, tinned cold meat, sauces for pasta, small chocolate bars, tinned sponge puddings, tinned rice pudding, instant mash and fruit juice.

Goods can be dropped off between 10am and midday at The Hub, Paradise Depot, Hemel Hempstead. Visit
