A FOCUS group will meet to discuss the county council’s policy on school transport.

The group will meet days before the consultation period comes to an ends on January 26.

The public will decide the future of the council’s Home to School Transport Policy for children aged up to 16.

The council spends around £25million on home to school transport every year.

There are four proposals to choose from, which will come into effect in September, 2012.

Full details of the proposals and how to respond to the consultation are available at

The focus group will discuss the proposals at Hertfordshire County Council, The Restaurant, Apsley Two Brindley Way, Hemel Hempstead, from 7 until 9pm on January 20.
