FIREFIGHTERS were called out when a three-year-old boy became trapped in the bathroom.
The youngster had gone in and locked the door using the twisting knob below the handle, but then could not unlock it again.
His mother tried to calm him down and get him to open up but he could not do it so she was forced to call the emergency services to their home in Belswains Lane, Hemel Hempstead, last Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters used a ladder to get onto the conservatory roof and then climbed through the bathroom window to release the lock, which was stiff.
Crew commander Mark Mannell said: “One of the boys climbed through the window, spoke to him for about 30 seconds and calmed him down.
“His mum was thankful.”
