CASH boosts are being granted to good causes in Tring thanks to funding for a county councillor.
Nick Hollinghurst, who is also a town councillor, awarded £1,500 from his locality budget to 2457 Air Training Corps (ATC) Squadron based in Tring.
The money will enable to fit a tachograph to the ATC minibus to record speed, distance travelled and stopping periods.
A tachograph is required for all ATC vehicles taking students overseas, and the Tring squadron will now be able to take a trip this summer.
Mr Hollinghurst also awarded £50 from his budget to buy refreshments for volunteers who took part in a recent litter pick in the town, organised by community group Tring Together.
