A homage to the quintessentially British garden party is set to raise much-needed funds for the Friends of Tring Church Heritage, who work continuously to maintain St Peter & St Paul’s Church in the High Street.
The annual Tring event is to be held in ten gardens throughout the market town on Saturday, July 13, and is set to be enjoyable for young and old.
Beginning with ‘the perfect bacon buttie’ in Christchurch Road at 9am, visitors are welcomed into various private gardens throughout the day for coffee and other delectbale delights, plus a chance to enjoy art exhbitions, music recitals, a well-cultivated allotment, children’s activities and an end-of-day barbecue.
Single programmes for the day cost £5 each – £10 for a family – and are available from Grahame Senior on 01442 822770, Annette Reynolds on 01296 661273 or Vivianne Child on 01442 826092.
The proceeds from the day will go towards preserving the heart of Tring for future generations, and will help the group continue with their work. For more information, visit the website at www.fotch.co.uk.
