Tring Apple Fayre's parade in 2011

We’ve had the best apple-growing season in years, so the people of Tring are celebrating the glut of the great British fruit this weekend.

The town goes apple mad on Sunday, with specimens for sale from Royston’s Cam Valley Orchard, as well as pressing and juicing demonstrations and tasty toffee apples.

Visit the Jeacock Orchard on Cow Lane between 10am and 4pm to enjoy sheep shearing and wool displays, wildlife exhibitions, live music and a string of apple-related activities.

Visitors can browse farmers market stalls, such as those demonstrating traditional rural crafts including beekeeping, with honey for sale as well.

Entry is free but donations are welcome. Parking is provided in Pendley Meadow.
