A SCOOTER group will put smiles on faces by doing their first ever Easter egg run for youngsters in hospital.
Hemel Scooters will get on their bikes to make the special delivery to Watford General’s children’s ward on Saturday, April 7.
Event organiser Paul Turvey said: “We are doing it mainly because our kids are older so we don’t need to buy them an Easter egg so we buy an egg for somebody else’s kid who isn’t very well instead.
“Anyone is welcome to come. There are some people going from as far as Watford and Welwyn Garden City and if we get good weather we will have quite a few people.
“It is just something we want to do and it is a good excuse for us to take get our scooters out and take them for a ride.”
Hemel Scooters was formed in the 1960s and meets regularly on Sundays.
The scooter egg run will meet at the Leather Bottle pub in Leverstock Green at 10am.
