Saturday October 5 will mark the 100th anniversary of Tring’s police station – and the opening of a new exhibition.
The High Street station will open its doors to the public between 1pm and 4pm.
A designated room inside the station now features an exhibition of photographs, uniform, equipment and other memorabilia from times gone by in an homage to the Tring and Hertfordshire Constabulary.
Dacorum’s Chief Insp Glen Channer said: “This is an excellent event to celebrate 100 years of the station’s existence.
“There’s lots on offer and it’s a great opportunity to see the history of Tring and Hertfordshire Constabulary.
Members of the Special Constabulary, the Local Safer Neighbourhood Team and police cadets will be demonstrating the fingerprinting process, as well as talking to children about road safety and ‘stranger danger’.
Officers will be on hand to offer crime prevention advice, answer any questions, and offer guided tours around the station.
