Green fingered volunteers wanted to help create herb garden

All-rounders are needed to lend a hand with general duties from setting up tables and chairs to washing up.

The Happy Wanderers Club – a social club for people with physical disabilities – needs general helpers for meetings held on the second and fourth Monday of each month.

The get togethers are held at the St John’s Ambulance Hall in Northchurch from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Volunteers might also be asked to accompany members on local outings.

> A friendly and interactive marketing and fundraising assistant is needed to help out at homelessness charity DENS.

The right person will be able to give three to four hours of their time each week between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. The time you give is flexible.

Duties will include contacting volunteers, sending out tickets for events, updating the website, preparing tombolas, sending out event packs and other administrative duties.

The helper must have basic computer skills, good communications and organisational skills, a sense of humour and lots of energy.

This is a one-off project being organised by Gadebridege Community Association.

Volunteers are needed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

If you have green fingers and know your herbs it would be a bonus.
