A MUM-of two who was found dead at her home died from stab wounds, a post-mortem examination has confirmed.
The 30-year-old was pronounced dead at the three storey property in The Wye, Hemel Hempstead in the early hours of Monday morning.
Her partner, a 41-year-old man, who had suffered stab injuries himself, was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to hospital.
The Polish pair were parents to two young girls and the man had a teenage son - it was the boy who alerted police by dialling 999.
Officers, including armed police, raced to the scene just before 3am where they made the grim discovery.
During the day forensic officers could be seen coming and going from the property and officers were on the ground to reassure residents.
The mother’s family are travelling to the UK from Poland to formally identify her body. The man remains in hospital.
