Hospice’s filthy fundraiser

Time to get muddy
Time to get muddy

If you like getting down and dirty and don’t mind a bit of muck you might like to challenge yourself to the Mucky Mudder.

Rennie Grove Hospice Care has launched the challenge as a fundraising experience and hopes friends, families, clubs, work colleagues and groups will enter a team.

The five mile sponsored challenge, to be held at Green Park in Aston Clinton on November 16, will involve tackling various obstacles along the way.

Entrants will crawl through tunnels and climb over walls and it is guaranteed everyone will get covered in mud.

But don’t worry because there will be a team on hand at the end to hose everyone down.

Senior events fundraiser Gemma Martin said: “If you are looking to take on a challenge with a difference, this event is for you.

“The Mucky Mudder isn’t a timed race, but is a test of strength and stamina and is promised to be tough, but brilliant fun for all involved.”

The organisers expect the event to be very popular and places are limited so interested participants should register early to avoid disappointment.

Entry costs £30 and is open to ages 16+.
