OFFICIAL figures show 400 people have moved to Dacorum from outside the UK since 2008, compared with an average of 280 for the rest of the east of England.
The figures form part of Dacorum Borough Council’s Single Equality Scheme, which seeks to ensure all residents are treated fairly regardless of factors including race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or religion.
The scheme document also shows 2.46 per cent of households in Dacorum are lone parent and 21.28 per cent are married couples with children.
Nearly 21 per cent of the adult population binge drinks while life expectancy is 811/2.
The average house price last year was £334,295 – up 12.7 per cent –and more than 10 per cent of those aged 16 to 18 are out of work, education or training, compared with a Herts figure of 7.84 per cent.
