A mum of two who is preparing to trek across Iceland in aid of the Haemophilia Society has raked in £400 from a hair-raising fundraiser.
Emma Hart’s sons Samuel, seven, and Oliver, four, were born with the rare blood disorder which she hopes to raise awareness of through her charity challenge next year.
So far she has raised £3,000 from events including a waxing night in the Tudor Rose pub and a family fun day at the same venue the next day, which brought in an incredible £1,600.
Emma, of Chaulden, said: “We had an amazing weekend and a brilliant turnout. Everyone has rallied around and supported me so well. I am now training and getting ready for the trek – it is hard work but well worth it.”
