The Hemel Hempstead Gazette’s website now has an improved navigation for its great mix of local news, sport, leisure, opinion and information.
There is a new navigation approach to help you find your way around the website. Following on from our recently improved player for all the latest videos and launch of web polls it is now clearer and easier to find the news you want.
The changes have been made in response to customer feedback. The key change is to the navigation panel at the top of the homepage.
Previously we know that users may have struggled to find stories that had dropped off our homepage. So there is now a tab titled ‘MORE NEWS’ which will take you to all our stories from the previous days and weeks. In essence, you click ‘MORE NEWS’ and that’s what you will get.
We have also streamlined the navigation in this section for specific news stories.
You can now select from Crime, Politics, Business/Property News, Heritage (our nostalgia section), Community, Education, Health (including NHS headlines), Opinion (where you can find letters to the editor, columnists and much more), Regional and National. That way if you are looking for something specific or are interested in a certain type of story it makes your experience a lot easier.
We have also launched a brand new section dedicated to World War One on the homepage.
We hope that the changes in the navigation will give our users more choice and allow them to look at a wider range of stories while online.
