You’ll have to be as fast as a cheetah to join in this year’s Zoo Stampede at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, as there are only a limited number of spaces available.
Hundreds of runners are already signed up for the run, which will take them on a tour past some of the zoo’s rarest animals. Last year the event raised £31,000 towards their conservation.
Entry fees, which start at £25 for the 10km run and £18 for the 2km, or from £15 for children, include car parking, zoo entry, goodie bags for all finishers and medals. Prizes are also up for grabs.
The race takes place on Sunday, June 9, from 9.30am for the 10km run and 11am for the 2km. Visit www.zsl.org/whipsnadestampede to sign up.
