The darling buds of May will be coming to Leverstock Green Flower Club on Thursday when members hold their annual Open Afternoon at the village hall.
The event will include a cream tea and raffle and a flower demonstration by popular local demonstrator Joyce Furssedon.
The event, which starts at 2pm, invites members of the public to find out more about the Leverstock Green Flower Club, and flower arranging in general. There is a cost of £4 for members, and £9 for non-members, payable on the door.
Chairwoman Betty Clemmens said: “The club is a fantastic community organisation which cultivates flower arranging demonstrations and workshops, and enables members to take part in social activities”.
“We are very excited about our open afternoon, and look forward to welcoming those with an interest in the art of flower arranging.”
The group, which was established in 1976, meets on the second Thursday of every month in the Village Hall and arranges social events throughout the year. Members come from around Dacorum and beyond to watch flower demonstrations and take part in workshops.
“If you are interested in flowers, or flower arranging, it is a terrific way to spend an afternoon,” said Betty.
