A big-budget Disney film that was partly shot in the Ashridge Estate has been given mixed reviews by the critics.
This website recently uploaded a trailer for the movie - which the Guardain gave just one star.
The Telegraph was more positive, giving it three, while users of the movie website IMDB gave it 7.5 out of 10.
The movie is a reworking of Walt Disney’s 1959 animated film Sleeping Beauty and portrays the children’s story from the perspective of the baddie, Maleficent.
Maleficent, played by Jolie, is a vindictive fairy who also appears in the form of a dragon and rises to become the self-proclaimed Mistress of All Evil. She curses an infant princess only to realise the child may be the only one who can restore peace.
In the trailer, Maleficent says: “There is evil in this world, hatred and revenge.”
