Never too busy to meet mums

Name of Organisation: Busy Mummies Networking Group

What are your main aims and objectives?

To provide an informal opportunity for local mum entrepreneurs to meet and catch up with other like-minded mums.

Where do you meet and how often?

We meet every third Friday of the month at the Little Hands Little Feet Children’s Centre at Lagley Hall, Douglas Gardens, Berkhamsted.

What sort of people are your members?

Local mum entrepreneurs who are running their own businesses in Berkhamsted, Tring, Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding villages.

If someone was considering membership, what would you say to them to convince them to join?

Everyone is welcome. It’s very informal and simply provides the opportunity for you to meet other mums in business to swap business cards, marketing ideas, discuss challenges of running own business and managing childcare. Children are welcome, toys are kindly provided by the children’s centre so the kids can play whilst mums chat.

Please give us an idea of your activities in the last six months, and what do you have lined up for the future?

Busy Mummies was launched in April 2011, with the first ever Busy Mummies Pamper evening to provide an opportunity for local mums and other small businesses to promote their businesses and services to other local mums in Berkhamsted and the local area.

Since April, we have run three additional events, with the most recent Busy Mummies event taking place in October at Carmenta Life, the pregnancy and wellbeing centre in Berkhamsted.

The networking meetings were organised in response to stand holders enjoying meeting other mums in business whilst attending the Busy Mummies events.

What sort of costs are involved in membership?

There is no membership fee. We just ask for a donation of £2 to support the Children’s Centre. It also covers cost of refreshments.

Does your club have a website that people can visit for more information?

Yes, please visit
