A new market is giving crafters the opportunity to showcase their work without the overheads of running a shop.

Dakini Craft Markets launched a Tring market last Saturday (March 21) and will be hosting another at High Street Baptist Church on Saturday, April 18.

There will be leather craft, photography, iPad art, ceramics, jewellery and woodwork on offer from 10am to 4pm.

Organiser Silke Stahl, who makes bags and other leather products, said: “The traders are all local artists and crafters who sell their own products so you will be able to speak directly with the makers, most of who will take on commission work.

“Come along and support your local community.”

Refreshments, pies and pastries will also be on offer.

There is no duplication of stalls at the market and Silke, who also runs a market at Wendover Woods, quality controls what is on offer to ensure high standards of produce.

It costs £25 to have a stall and there’s discounts on offer to those who sign up for several months.
