Max Whitlock has won a bronze medal at the London 2012 Olympics.

The 19-year-old gymnastics star, from Adeyfield, was part of a five-man artistic gymnastics team taking part in individual disciplines including pommel horse, rings, parallel bars, floor and high bar.

The team initially thought they had clinched the silver medal – until the Japanese launched an inquiry and were eventually awarded silver, bumping Team GB back into the bronze position.
