Open day celebrates 175 years of policing

HAVE your fingerprints taken, watch police dogs in action and tour the county’s crime-fighting centre during an open day.

There will be 60 different activities, talks, demonstrations and stands at Herts Constabulary’s headquarters in Stanborough Road, Welwyn Garden City.

This free event, running this Saturday from 11am to 3pm, is being put on to celebrate 175 years of policing in the county.

Chief Constable Andy Bliss said: “Policing in Hertfordshire has a long and proud history. I know all visitors will have an enjoyable and interesting visit.”
