Budding writers now have the chance to enter the 2014 Hospice of St Francis writing competition.
The contest, in its fifth year, will run again with the theme ‘Beginnings’, which can be interpreted in any way entrants see fit.
Last year’s competition received more than 275 entries, raising over £1,100 for the hospice.
Entrants can submit a short story of 1,000 words in the adult category, and up to 500 words in the primary and secondary categories.
The closing date is April 4. Enter using the online form at stfrancis.co.uk or hand in a hard copy to the hospice or Berkhamsted’s Make Believe Ideas Cafe.
