Police called in to investigate after stolen car is torched in Hemel Hempstead


An investigation has been launched after a stolen car was dumped and set alight in Hemel Hempstead.

Firefighters were called to Holtsmere End Lane just before 11pm on Thursday.

They used one hose reel to put out the blaze, close to the junction with Revel End Lane, before calling in police to investigate.

It emerged that the silver Vauxhall Astra had been stolen overnight on Wednesday from Elstree Road in the town.
