A pensioner described by police as a potential danger to the public has been found after going missing for nearly three days.

Douglas Byelong, 74, who is from Bersted, Bognor Regis, was believed to be in Hertfordshire after going missing on Thursday night. But he was actually found in Chester this morning and has been taken into secure accommodation.

Sussex police, assisted by Herts police, appealed for help in finding Mr Byelong but warned they were concerned for his welfare and also those who may come into contact with him.

He was believed to have started out in St Albans before making his way to Chester in the ensuing time.
