Preparations are coming together for festival of fun

MORE plans are in place to ensure Tring residents have a bumper summer of fun.

Activities have been added to the Tring Carnival, which is part of a trio of events which make up the town’s summer festival.

The carnival kicks off on June 16 with four hours of performances in a Court Out of the Theatre showcase – highlights of past and present productions.

There will also be a youth band night, a rock night and Sunday afternoon jazz, accompanied by a Tring Brewery beer festival and hog roast.

The finale of the carnival will feature a High Street parade, finishing at Pound Meadow, where a host of games will take place, including tug of wars, wellie wanging and ferret racing.

Meanwhile, a car dealership and a radio station have been added to the list of commercial partners of Spirit of Tring, which kicks off the festival on June 3 and 4.

Specialist Cars, based just outside Tring, and Aylesbury radio station Mix 96, will be commercial partners.

They have joined other partners Pelican Print, Rosewood Publishing and Tring Brewery to support the global performance improvement company for the extravaganza.

The show features the Great British Proms from the English National Orchestra on the Friday before The Music of Abba by stars from West End musical Mamma Mia! on June 4.

The Tringe Festival completes the trio and runs from July 1 to 23. Find out more about all three events at
