The construction firm carrying out the Marlowes transformation is moving out of its site office early - to make way for a new High Street cafe and deli.
Greenford’s site office has been based in Hemel town centre since Dacorum Borough Council’s Hemel Evolution regeneration work began a year ago. But they are making way for Cappuccio Coffee House & Italian Deli, which will open in November.
Greenford communications officer Tara Maguire, who is a familiar face with local businesses, said: “We’ve really enjoyed being based in the heart of the regeneration where anyone could pop in to ask questions.
“But we’re really happy to make way for a new cafe – after all, turning Marlowes into a modern social hub was always the council’s intention.”
Hemel man Jonathan Birnie, who is joint owner of the business, said: “We spent months researching sites and decided the Marlowes regeneration presented us with a great opportunity.
“We think people in Hemel Hempstead will wholeheartedly embrace the chance to sample Cappuccio’s authentic southern Italian produce.”
Cappuccio’s is now looking to recruit experienced members of staff. Email email@example.com
