Police hosted an open evening in a bid to recruit more people from minority ethnic groups.
Herts Constabulary hosted the event for people interested in becoming a police officer or staff at its Welwyn Garden City headquarters on Thursday, November 27.
More than 50 people attended and senior police officers were on hand to discuss how the force works.
Supt Cath Akehurst said: “The event aimed to increase our engagement with minority communities to assist in developing a more representative workforce and will cover both police officer and police staff recruitment.
“It was a real success and we were delighted to welcome representatives of community groups, families of potential recruits from minority communities and those who were interested in understanding how we can work together to improve the diversity of our workforce.”
