Ref puts wheels in motion for annual cycle with boozer

SADDLE up and get in Poll position because a pub’s annual bike ride is on its way.

The former football World Cup referee Graham Poll was at the Robin Hood pub in Tring, to launch the event, to take place on Sunday, September 25.

The ride is held every year by the Brook Street boozer to raise money for Tring-based charity Iain Rennie Hospice at Home (IRHH).

He said: “The bike ride is an excellent way for people to get some exercise and enjoy the fresh air and countryside while at the same time supporting others in the local community who are facing the challenges of life-limiting illnesses.”

Entry costs £2 and there is no minimum sponsorship.

The closing date for entries is August 31. 2011.
