A sporty teenager who played rugby for the Saracens Academy has organised a night of live music fun to support a disability charity.
Barney Brown, 19, of Grovehill, is aiming to raise money for Wheelpower, which helps wheelchair users lead active lives.
The event on June 8 will see local bands perform at the Chaulden Community Centre from 7.30pm, and the audience can buy raffle tickets for the chance to win a signed Watford football shirt, amongst other top prizes.
Barney, who spent three months in a wheelchair himself after a serious leg break in 2011, said: “It’s going to be a really great night, and hopefully we can raise as much money as possible for the charity.”
Tickets cost £10 from Richard Brown’s hairdressers in Boxmoor. Call 01442 239550 or drop in.
