RUNNERS can secure a place in a marathon by committing to raising cash for a good cause.
The Berkhamsted-based Hospice of St Francis still has nine places available in the Brighton Marathon.
The 26.2 mile run takes place on Sunday, April 10.
General entries for the event are now full so the only way to secure a place is to run on behalf of a charity.
The route takes in the best of the city centre and fabulous stretches of coastal road.
It costs £40 to register for the marathon and the minimum fundraising target for the hospice is £750.
The package includes a support pack with training and fundraising hints and tips, a running vest and access to a nutritionist.
The closing date for entries is February 4 . To register call 01442 869555 or email email@example.com
