A NEW headteacher is celebrating after his school was given a ‘good’ grade in all areas by Ofsted inspectors.
Since taking up the post at Tring’s Dundale Primary School in September, Allan Lowe, has been working hard with his team to raise standards.
“We have been improving on our teaching and learning – that has been the main thing that has had a big impact on the pupils’ achievement across the years particularly in the core subjects of reading, writing and maths,” said Mr Lowe.
The school, in Silk Mill Way, was previously rated ‘satisfactory’ but now has its sights set on reaching ‘outstanding’ when inspectors next come knocking. Mr Lowe said: “I was delighted to receive the recognition for all the hard work that staff have put in.”
