A car will be cut open at the Tring Fire Station Open Day on Saturday to show how firefighters rescue people trapped in road accidents.
Firefighters will also create their own chip pan fire to demonstrate the dangers of putting water on to oil fires. The fire motorbike, used to get to fires and road smashes quickly, will be there, too.
The fire dog – who goes into homes that have been set alight to try to sniff out if an accelerant has been used – will also appear.
The event will last from 11am to 3pm at the Brook Street station.
