Get your skates on and head down to Hemel Hempstead’s Gadebridge Park this Saturday for a day of wheel-y good fun with the Hemel Skate Park group.
In celebration of the park’s 10th birthday, the group has organised Skate Bash ‘13, an anniversary jam featuring local bands Saving Sebastian, Silo18 and Toxins, plus a few international talents too.
Between noon and 8pm, there will be music, food, stalls, a graffiti board and competitions for all those on scooters, bikes and skateboards. There will also be prizes given for the best fancy dress outfit.
The money raised from the event will go towards making the facility bigger and better, with the group hoping to introduce more urban features such as steps, rails and benches to replicate the obstacles skaters would be able to tackle in a town centre.
