Litterbugs have again started dumping rubbish at a flytipping hotspot in Hemel Hempstead.

The mess was spotted by Tina Howard blocking the entrance to a field in the wooded area of Cupid Green Lane, which takes drivers in and out of Grovehill.

She said: “This could have been quite easily been taken to Eastman Way Rubbish Tip, but no... they have to dump it in the gateway.”

The tip is about a mile away from where the trash was left – which would have taken about five minutes to drive to from the dumping spot.

The matter has been reported to flytipping authority Dacorum Borough Council, which was not available for comment at the time when this article was published.

It was previously reported that litter bosses are thinking of installing CCTV cameras in Cupid Green Lane to try and catch out the people who keep dumping rubbish there

The maximum penalty for flytipping is a fine of up to £50,000 and a year in prison.
