Top dancers on bill at workshops for children


A DANCER who puts together routines for One Director and JLS will be teaching dance moves to youngsters.

Helen Dixon will be running contemporary workshops at the Life and Soul Academy in St John’s Road, Hemel Hempstead, on Thursday, April 5 at 11.45 for eight to 12-year-olds and 1.30pm for 13 to 18-year-olds.

On the same day Sarah Jane, who has worked with Madonna, will be teaching hip hop to eight to 12-year-olds at the venue from 10am and commercial jazz will be on offer to 13 to 18-year-olds from Lisa Donne from 3.45pm.

The dance captain of the Michael Jackson musical Thriller Live, Danni Rothman, will be teaching the show’s moves at Kings Langley Scout Hall in The Drift, on Wednesday, April 4 from 10am for eight to 12-year-olds.

Other workshops on offer at the scout hall are;

Monday, April 2 and Tuesday, Arpil 3 from 10am to midday for three to four-year-olds and 12.30pm to 3pm for five to eight-year-olds.

Wednesday, April 4 from 12.30pm to 3pm for eight to 12-year-olds.

These will include street dancing, party games, Easter egg hunts, face-painting and mini-performances.
