A CAR crash left a man with a suspected fractured skull.

The Vauxhall Corsa driver, from London Road, Apsley, is receiving specialist care at St Mary’s Hospital in London.

He was travelling to Hemel Hempstead along Dagnall Road, near Studham, at about 7.45am on Saturday when he lost control of his car and crashed.

Shortly afterwards a Mazda2 collided with a black estate car that had stopped at the crash scene.

The driver of the estate car failed to provide her details and left before emergency services arrived.

Officers want to speak to the driver, described as a black woman who was wearing a Russian style winter hat, as they believe she may be able to help them establish how the Corsa crashed.
