A community awards ceremony was held to mark Kings Langley’s “best year ever” at the annual parish meeting.
Parish Council chairman Bob McLean could not have been happier with the village’s achievements over the last 12 months, which include winning the title of best village in West Hertfordshire.
Councillor McLean said: “This has been the best year ever for us, it proved that we are among the top three villages in Hertfordshire and we were all absolutely delighted with that.
“Every one of our community award winners has been deserving because they have given up their time, money and effort to enhance the village.”
Among the awards was a special recognition accolade for Councillor Julie Barton, who was nominated for her litter-picking, Poppy Appeal work and weekly newsletter The Villager.
