A cycling team riding from London to Brighton twice in a matter of months say they are doing it for a life-limited child who means so much to them.
James Dodd, four, who attends the specialist Playskill group in Hemel Hempstead, has the life-limiting condition mitochondrial disease. He was also diagnosed with Leigh’s disease last week.
Leader of the Stupid Peddlars team Penny Blake said: “I wanted to get everybody together to do this because James’ parents Iain and Angie are our best friends. Unfortunately there’s not a lot we can do for James’ mitochondrial, but we can at least raise money for awareness and research into a cure.”
The team of 24 have raised more than £3,500 for the Lily Foundation ahead of the first ride on Sunday, June 16. To donate, click here.
