A WOMAN has been left in a state of shock after a car smashed through the wall of her lounge, showering the room with bricks and rubble.
Tabassum Nawaz had just sat down when the family’s VW Sharan was shunted through the front wall following a traffic accident in Barnacres Road, Hemel Hempstead, this morning.
A Skoda pulled out of Hill Common at around 8am and collided with a Nissan Micra coming down Barnacres, which then spun into the VW parked on the drive.
Tabassum said: “I thought everything was going to come down. I’m still shaking.”
Her son Kamran said: “I heard a loud smash. I thought mum had dropped something. I came downstairs and mum was screaming my name.
“Mum was in tears, I didn’t know what to say.
“I was so worried about mum I called an ambulance.”
Fortunately no-one was injured in the accident and firefighters have deemed the building safe.
Kamran added: “We’ve had so many accidents on this corner. We want something done about the road. We’re crying out for some speed bumps.”
