Cowboys and cowgirls alike were in their element at Bishop Wood School’s Wild West Fair on Saturday, and the event raised more than £3,000 for the school’s funds.
The school’s overgrown nature reserve was transformed into Pond Creek, where the children could meet resident newts and frogs.
Little ones enjoyed the pony rides but braver souls took on the bucking bronco.
Performances from maypole dancers and majorettes entertained the crowds, and traditional stalls included the coconut shy and crockery smash.
PTA member Amanda Baker said: “The amount raised is amazing, and we’ve had some incredible feedback.”
