You can help homeless fend off Easter hunger

A CHARITY is calling for your help to stop the homeless going hungry over Easter.

Dacorum Emergency Night Shelter (DENS) is appealing for food donations to use in its night shelter and day centre.

The call comes after the supplies received by the organisation last year were lower than normal during the recession.

Donations can include tinned food, cereal, sugar, coffee, tea bags, pasta and cooking sauces.

The charity is also appealing for donations of toiletries, cling film, tin foil and back bin liners.

Those feeling in a seasonal mood can even donate Easter eggs.

If you have a donation, can help sort items given or can help with the distribution service, call 01442 262274 or email Find more at
