BSFL round-up: Doves soar to a big win over the Bull Athletic on another rain-affected weekend


Doves United were on form in Division One of the BSFL as they romped to a 4-0 victory at The Bull Athletic.

Stefan Owen-Edwards led the way with a brace, while Luke Teakle and John Walker were also on target.

Berko Tornadoes Reserves were also hot in front of goal as strikes from Sam Copson (2), Ray Franklin, Howard Wright, Tom Shaw and James Shaw earned them a 6-2 win over The Midland in Division Two.

Elsewhere, Division Three saw goals from Max Budgen (2), Jack Wood and Ryan Rowe earn a 4-1 victory for Apsley Athletic over Clarkwood, while John Lane and Sean Lane both bagged braces for RH Motors in their 4-0 win at Park Rangers Reserves.

A strike from Thomas Whiddett and an own goal did the damage for Potten End Sunday in their 2-1 win against Echoes Reserves, while Ricky Shepherd (3) and James Dykes shared the goals for Berko Athletic Reserves in a 5-2 beating of Old Bell Athletic in Division Four.

Hemel Athletic had Paul Wilkins (2), Steve Hollick and AJ Adzehoe to thank for a 4-2 victory over AC Grapes Reserves, while Adeyfield Reserves beat The Old Kings Arms 3-1 thanks to Dan Erdwin, Will McLean and Danny Roberts.

Bobby Lees (2) and Jordan Ashmoore were he scorers for Sporting Blackbirds as they won 3-0 at The Old Bell Gate.
