Clean sheet helps lift impressive Tudors up to second

Hemel Hempstead Town made it four wins out of four with a 3-0 win on the road at Burnham, returning from their travels with a clean sheet that reinforced their standing as the meanest team in the league.

They are also the most free-scoring, with 14 goals and only three conceded so far as they sit in second place in the Calor League Premier Division table.

Tudors never allowed the home side to settle but it took them until the 30th minute to take the lead, Ben Mackey having the simplest finish after a goalkeeper error left him walking the ball into an empty net.

David Pearce doubled the lead on 38 minutes after a shot by Ollie Thorne was parried into his path by the keeper.

After the break Danny Talbot made it safe after some excellent work down the right by the impressive Pearce.

The Tudors then took their foot off the gas but remained comfortably in control, with Moussa Diarra and Kieran Murphy looking very solid at the back.

A table-topping spot is the tempting prospect as Hemel Hempstead play host to Bedford at Vauxhall Road on Tuesday night.
