Berkhamsted crashed to their biggest defeat of the season against an experienced Haringey Borough side on Tuesday night.

The game was effectively over after half-an-hour as Haringey rattled in three quick goals in a devastating 12 minute spell.

First, a foul on Patou Katshenge earned a free-kick and Roland Namquita headed in the cross.

Skipper Darrell Cox got the last touch to a scruffy goal a few minutes later and, with the young Berko side still reeling, a free header allowed Katshenge to make it 3-0 before half-time.

Both keepers produced saves in the second period to keep the score down, before Haringey added a farcical fourth goal.

A free-kick was awarded to Berko for offside and Danny Power kicked the ball to where the offence took place, only for the officials to say Power had re-started the game – allowing Boro substitute Dewayne Clarke helped himself to a gift.

Josh Chamberlain’s deflected free kick made it 4-1 within seconds, but the damage was already done.
