Dacorum youngsters are one step away from Brazilian adventure

Dacorum SFA will travel to Bodymoor Heath, Aston Villa’s Training Ground, to compete in the National Finals of the Danone Nations Cup – one step away from representing England at the World Finals in Brazil.

Dacorum, who successfully progressed from the county knockout rounds of the tournament, triumphed at the regional finals held at Chigwell School in March to earn their place at the National Finals.

Victory at Bodymoor Heath, a top class FA venue, will result in a trip to Brazil to meet Zinedine Zidane and represent England in the Danone Nations Cup World Final.

Charlotte Broos, CSR manager at Danone, said: “We are delighted to announce the location of this year’s National Final. The facilities at Bodymoor Heath are world class and offer the team from Dacorum SFA a fantastic opportunity to compete at a Premier League club’s training ground.”

Former Tottenham, Liverpool and England centre-back John Scales, an ambassador of the tournament, added: “I would like to wish Dacorum SFA the best of luck in the National Final. They played extremely well in the regional finals and I’m sure the Premier League surroundings will help them play even better!”
