Leverstock Green Ladies produced a formidable first half display as they romped to a 10-1 win over Bishop’s Stortford in the County Cup quarter-finals.
Levy were quickly into their stride and went 1-0 up within 30 seconds courtesy of player of the match Sally Green.
The hosts were ruthless as the half progressed and added seven more to their tally before the interval with goals coming from Sapphire Kalinski, Nic Hollick, Green (3) and pocket rocket Giselle Subryan (2).
In the second half Bishop’s Stortford put up a commendable fight, especially given the scoreline and were denied by an outstanding save from Levy keeper Jess Devoti.
The visitors did manage a consolation from the penalty spot, but further goals from Hollick and Gemma ensured any hopes of a miracle comeback were swiftly ended.
