 Kings Langley 9

Kings Langley came out with all guns blazing as a Jimmy Armstrong hat-trick helped them to a 9-0 thrashing of Cranfield United.

Armstrong opened the scoring after 33 minutes and the striker headed home his second from a Jack Pattison cross seven minutes later.

Cranfield looked for a response at the start of the second half, but Armstrong put the result beyond doubt when he slotted home a 53rd-minute penalty to complete his hat-trick.

From then on, the goals started to pour in and Liam James nodded in a rebound from a Shaun Owens free-kick to make it 4-0.

Tom Carter, Nathan Pooley and an Owens double made it 8-0 with six minutes left to play, and Gary Coyle – making his return from injury – stabbed home the ninth to wrap up the emphatic win.
