Hemel Celtic mauled by the rampant Boars

A handful of hardy teams put their Easter eggs aside as they battled it out in the BSFL Premier Division on Sunday.

Fifth-placed AFC Boars recorded the pick of the results as they hit ten to comfortably see off fellow mid-table side Hemel Town Celtic.

Hot-shot Curtis Donaldson helped himself to four goals for Boars, while Jeff Mensah and James Davies both bagged braces. Gary Clark and Sam Kent completed the rout.

Consolation goals for Celtic came courtesy of Sam Flood, Connor Deadman and Jamie Davidge.

Elsewhere, league leaders The Herald launched a spirited comeback but could not salvage a point in their clash with Berko Tornadoes.

Tornadoes raced into a 6-0 lead with goals from Greg Walsh (3), Tom Shaw (2) and Alex Thomas, before The Herald responded with three goals of their own.

A missed penalty proved costly for The Herald, though, as Tornadoes held out for a 6-3 win to maintain their position in third place.

Comets Sports Club, meanwhile, picked up a comfortable home victory over second-from-bottom Boxmoor.

Woods Mullan, Dan Hartley and Leo Mullet found the net for the Comets, who are only five points off top spot, despite having played six games fewer than the league leaders.
