High-flying Hemel Hempstead Town FC are hoping for a big crowd on Tuedsay night as they attempt to lift the Herts Senior Challenge Cup for the first time in nearly 90 years.
The club last won the cup in the 1925/26 season and have never won it under the name of Hemel Hempstead Town.
They will be looking to change that on Tuesday when they take on Ryman League Division One North outfit Potters Bar Town at The County Ground in Letchworth.
Hemel go into the game on the back of an important 1-0 victory over fierce rivals St Albans City at Clarence Park on Easter Monday which kept them second in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division table.
Dean Brennan’s side do not have a fixture this weekend – giving them plenty of time to rest up before Tuesday night’s final.
The Tudors were originally scheduled to play Redditch United on Saturday, but Redditch agreed to bring the game forward to October 2012 due to both teams having a free weekend.
Tuesday night’s game kicks-off at 7.45pm and travelling directions can be found at the Herts FA website www.hertfordshirefa.com
